yay, clothes!

I seem to be carrying a theme from the previous week each time. Last week it was purple from the week before. This time it's the scarf as belt idea. I like scarves. They're a fun accessory. I have to admit, though, it's been a while since I've worn them this often, and twice in two weeks in the same way might be a bit much. But I'll say it again: I like scarves. Pretty!

So! This outfit includes one of my favorite skirts ever. It's black, but it's a lightweight silk-cotton blend that's incredibly cool, especially since it has a built-in lining. No hot, sticky nylon slip required. Plus the cut is flattering--there's a smooth line from the waist to just below the hips, then it has some fulness, but not too much. (If you're on my reading list, here is a better view of the skirt.)

(Yes, I just went for the square inserted over my face this time.)

The top is a favorite of my students. I'm not sure why--maybe it's the bright color. The V front is cut far too low to wear without something underneath.

("No press, please!")

The scarf picks up on the color from the shirt, and has a nice contrasting orange as well.
