I grew up in New Orleans, well I developed my taste buds when my parents were living in New Orleans. My mom used to love to cook a cajun dish called red beans and rice. She had a few different recipes for it. I'm cooking that for dinner tonight, but have added my own touches to it. If it turns out well, I'll post the recipe later tonight.

Yeah I know I was here alone the last two days, but I was doped up on cold meds and sleeping most of the day way. Today I'm awake and up and missing xtown_traffic very much! I'm making a curry from the cook book he got for me for tea tonight, hoping to pass the time away.

And now it's raining again. *sigh*

After my 3 hour doctor's appointment, I met up with xtown_traffic in Decatur and we had dinner and then went to get my new meds filled. I swear our doctor is obsessed with blood pressure, mine is not high but she keeps putting me on blood pressure pills that double as migraine preventives. This time she put me on Cardizem/Diltiazem. Apparently I'm in a mood to just cook. Yesterday I made cinnamon raisin bread and today jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese, and I'm going to make my first Indian curry tonight.
