PROMPT #1 - "Enlighten Me"

"Enlighten Me"

Sam jerked away.  "Excuse me?"  Being accosted was never fun, and this particular individual had never been his idea of someone approachable.

Simmons rolled his eyes.  "Enlighten me - what made you so sure the yellow NBE wasn't going to hurt you."

"His name is Bumblebee" snarled the teenager.  "And he isn't a NBE - They are Autobots!"

Reggie Simmons waited.  He tapped his foot, still waiting.

An almost inaudible sigh.  "You're not going to go away are you?"

The ex-Seventh agent only raised an eyebrow.

"Right."  Sam pushed his hands through his short locks.  "Bee saved me from Barricade - the faux police car."

"So, one only needs to defy authority to be 'okay' and 'nice'."

"No - " Sam began.

"Did it never occur to you they might have scripted out the scene?  To make the NBE imitating your car seem approachable and safe?"

"That's not how -  " Sam tried interjecting.

"That all the NBE's are working together to subdue our government and take over our resources?  They don't care about us!  The aliens just want us to fight their war for them!"  Simmons continued spouting off theories, ignoring Sam's cry of "That's crazy!  The bots' would never do something like that!"

TITLE: Trust goes both ways
RATING: K
SERIES: Any (g1?)
Tiemline: Pre earth arrival
CHARACTER: Jazz
SUMMARY: Just because you respect someone doesn't' mean you can't - or shouldn't - point out flaws.
PROMPT #2 - Agreement

Jazz threw down his datapad.  "Primus!  What do I gotta do to get competent help around here?"

The silver saboteur picked up the next datapad from the pile.  He skimmed the readout, focusing on the comments.  "Not again!"  The datapad cracked and snapped in his servos.

Jazz dreaded finishing the stack.  So far, no one had actually analyzed the plan, as he instructed.  "If I wanted yes-mech's I'd have joined the con's and taken Starscream's position."

Jazz turned on the screen of the closest 'pad.  Skimmed it, paused, and went back through the data again.  "Huh, didn't implant that problem."  He read the comments, taking notes on the suggested changes.  That done, Jazz scrolled to the very bottom of the report.

"Prowl."  Jazz memorized the designation.  This was a mech he could work alongside with - or under,if need be.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:  I'm sorry, but when I saw the prompt, I just couldn't help myself.

"Morning, Optimus."  Chip Chase greeted the Autobot commander.  "Are Spike and Carly here yet?"

Optimus tilted his head, facing the human, instead of Teletran's screen.  "Spike has yet to arrive, but Carly is waiting in the Recreation room."

"Thanks,” Chip rolled out.

"One moment,"

Chip parked his wheelchair.

"What is in those boxes?"

"These?"  Chip lifted a flimsy flap, revealing the dozen sugary treats inside.  "Doughnuts."

"Thank you for indulging my curiosity."  Optimus stated regally.  "Do you require my assistance in transporting the snack to the table?"

Chip laughed.  "I got it, thanks."

Inside the rec room, Perceptor, assisting Carly decorate the walls with the sparkly banner, also inquired about the food items Chip brought.

"Doughnuts," Chip placed the top box on the table.  "I wish I could have found something for you bots to enjoy too, but .."

Perceptor looked at the dessert items.  "These are you contributions to the surprise party?  I thought you were bringing editable, not something that had the centers removed."  The red scientist carefully picked up one of the round items, looked through it.

"No, that's a traditional doughnut - they're supposed to be shaped like that."  Chip stated, confused.

"Hmm, you brought doughnut holes?"

"No, doughnut holes are something else ... Nevermind."  Chip turned to Carly.  "How can I help?"

The aerialbot wasn't wounded - he just didn't need the sky the way his brothers did.

He looked up, watching the other aerialbots dive and soar.  For him, their exuberance at being free, was enough.

So engrossed in keeping track of his four constant companions, Silverbolt never noticed Skyfire's arrival.

The large shuttle-mech also walked along the ground.  But he itched to stretch his wings.

Aerialbots dropped, engines stalled, as they were overwhelmed by Silverbolt's fleeting panic.  Once he got over his shock, Silverbolt wordlessly reassured them he was all right - just startled.
