Karen Kingsbury - Loving: Bailey Flanigan Series

Bailey Flanigan and Cody Coleman have seen the light; they are better off as friends.
Bailey was so sure that Cody was the man for her, because while her friend-who-happens-to-be-a-guy was fighting for his life overseas, she felt strongly urged to pray for her future husband’s life.

Having acquired the personal attorney help of Luke Baxter, Brandon Paul has come to realize the contract he’s been encouraged to sign by his movie manager won’t give him the ‘creative control’ he needs to veto any movie that goes against his growing faith and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Bailey, having successfully auditioned for a role as a teacher in an upcoming move, is beginning to have second thoughts.  Did she move too fast after Hairspray shut down?  Does God want her to go back to Broadway and continue dancing as part of a cast?  Or was He opening the door for her to Hollywood, alongside the man who’s wooed her off her feet, made her feel as if nothing else matters, if only they can be together, forever?

However, there are complications to being together, starting a life in Los Angeles California.  Bailey can’t handle the paparazzi of L.A. - their lack of concern for their own welfare, their inability to give any hot celebrities any privacy (as miss Flanigan says, Action Movies are great if its being filmed on-set, but as a lifestyle, no way!).  Brandon no longer sees the invasion from photographers and love-struck random-people as undesirable.  For him, it’s normal - the constant rush and extreme measures needed for a peaceful moment is something all his co-stars have adapted to.

Cody Coleman, mourning the loss of Cheyenne, rejoicing that Art, his late friend, is reunited with his fiancé in heaven, has decided to move on.  But where to go?  Stay as head coach for Lyle High, where he’s made such a decisive impact in the town and community?   Go back to Bloomington and be an assistant coach for one of the colleges hiring?  Or head to the East Coast where an L.A. school is desperate for change from their apathetic rich-kid high school players?

L.A. is where Bailey and Brandon will be for the foreseeable future.  Heading over to L.A. for  an interview, Cody runs into Andi  Ellison - there is a connection he and she both feel over a cup of coffee before the all-important meeting.

Meanwhile, Katy Matthews, expecting her second child, a son this time, is loath to give up on CKT - but she can’t help out as much as the kids deserve, as much as the young cast and parents need.  Would Bailey mind filling in for Katy for a bit?

Separated from Brandon as he spends the next two months filming in Montana - away from the crowds, hustle-and-bustle lifestyle, cut off from all cell-phone reception - Bailey agrees to be director for a time.  Perhaps this time apart is what they need to figure out if they are right for each other.
