Where do the mornings go?

Haven't updated for a little while because I've been writing flash fiction for writing.com. And other stuff that I can't remember...

So, the Moogle Chocobo Carnival is on until 20 Feb, which means I'll probably pop back on 19 Feb :D I did actually spend five minutes there yesterday to buy a Choco-Mog decal for the Regalia. Yes, I'm a geek.

I've made some progress with the Witcher 3 and finally left White Orchard. I've come to see the sidequest as the natural evolution of the random battle, providing much needed cash and EXP. I find this much easier to deal with. Anyway, I have been engaged by a priest to cremate some bodies, so I shall do that later. Unless I vote for DS9 S2...

Had a nice rejection letter from Quirk Books, so now it's time to get back on the horse and try elsewhere. Arthur A Levine Books is my next port of call, so fingers crossed. I'm actually dealing with this rejection thing pretty well. I'm certainly not taking it personally, which is very grown up of me. Go me!

I'm speaking about St Bride, Brigid, Ancient Greek goddesses, and the divine feminine on Sunday, drawing in four random books - The Da Vinci Code, Image of the Body, Woman: an Intimate Geography, and Who Am I?. I am actually looking forward to it!

Had a really nice chat with the Doctor, yesterday. No work, no rushing off, just friends chatting about random stuff. Miss that...

And I'm getting through some shit at work, too. We've been asked to tweak the project scoring methodology a bit further to include 'impact', so my line manager and I had a go. Basically, someone's favourite project doesn't appear high enough up the list and they want to massage the figures. But that assumes that the order the scores appear should dictate their priority and I don't believe that is so. The order in which projects are tackled depends on a number of things, including resource availability. The score isn't the only thing. Anyway, we did produce a proposed schema, although the whole thing did end up feeling like an exercise in futility. If the score is high, an additional layer of complexity is only going to make it higher. Oh, well, I'm going to write it up tomorrow so we can present it to the boss.

Some Tao to finish...

DAY 36 CONCEALING THE ADVANTAGE
The small and weak can 'help' the big and strong overextend themselves, leading to their downfall. This develops the seeds of things growing in the opposite direction.

Well, if there's anything bigger or (apparently) stronger than Trump, I don't know what it is. And he is surely over-reaching himself. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end for his way of working. We can only hope...

seeking a publisher, work is fun, tao of power, witcher 3, ffxv, friends and colleagues, sacred feminine, gaming, st bride, writing
