FFXV is the Enemy of Time

Dec 05, 2016 07:49

Loaded up FFXV fully intending to only play for an hour because I had other stuff to do. Turned into 2.5 hours...

I'm up to Chapter 3 and I'm about to visit a chocobo ranch. Never did get to ride one in Leiden(sp?). I also have a small collection of sidequests to get through. I'm out tonight, though, so they'll have to wait for tomorrow.

Interesting service at St Bride's (as always!). We were quite thin on the ground after last week where it was standing room only! Our two new musicians did a great job, too. Music was OK - not my choice but it doesn't have to be. As long as it isn't always that... The people leading talked about journeying through Advent and about their personal journey as they prepare to move again. I am sorry to see them go but I always knew they would, eventually.

Some Tao to finish...

DAY 26 - THE GRAVITY OF POWER
Take things seriously. Hold onto your 'baggage' to remain grounded.

This seems a bit at odds with my impression of Taoism, so far. What about remaining 'unattached' and 'going with the flow'?

The 'explanation' also mentions having a calm centre, though, and that does seem to fit. And the 'baggage' isn't so much emotional baggage as power. Holding on to what really matters will keep one's feet on the ground.
