Carbuncle is ADORABLE
Which, of course, I expected him to be but it's nice to have my expectations met. The graphics and music are also beautiful. And the creatures that Noct can turn into look interesting. Is that part of the main game, I wonder? At this stage, it's hard to know what was 'look - pretty graphics' and what was 'look - something very like this will be in the full game'.
I'd got the idea that the FFXV demo was an actual game - something I could play off and on over the next three months. Of course, it isn't and I'm wondering now if I should have held out until FIFA 17 came out because I bet there'll be a PS4/ FIFA 17 bundle at a great price. *sigh* As it is, I bought a Star Wars bundle with two games and a Blu-ray that I don't want. However, they are all physical discs not downloads, so I'm going to sell them. And the grandson doesn't have anything to play on it, so it means packing it away at the weekend.
I bought a game I spotted a few weeks ago called 'Shovel Knight' without realising it's a platformer *wails of anguish* It reminds me very much of 'Mickey's Castle of Mystery' (or whatever that game's called). The old school graphics are nice but the old school music is annoying. There are little quests that you can do and beating bosses opens up new areas. It's really not that hard but my brain goes into meltdown when it has to jump a character across a number of tiny ledges very quickly before they disappear.
Overall, I know I'm going to love it when I'm playing FFXV on it. In the meantime, I need to find some cheap-but-interesting-enough games so that it doesn't just collect dust between now and September.
The weather yesterday was ridiculous. Bright sunshine one minute, actual hail storms the next. It's JULY! We shouldn't have hail in JULY! I popped out to the shop (a five minute walk) while it was dry but the heavens opened while I was inside and I got soaked through (even with my umbrella) on the way home.
It was a real 'me' day that started with me getting my hair cut and ended with a lovely bath (using a bubble bar called 'Granny takes a dip' :D ). Today, I think I'm going to have an indoors day after being busy the last two.
