So, I'm part of a team that's doing the Global Corporate Challenge. I've got the world's tiniest pedometer clipped to my dress and every day I'm supposed to go to the site and update my step count.
The site is OBNOXIOUS! I put in my height and weight and it told me I was overweight (I'm sorry - WHERE?!) but that not to worry, GCC would give me tips on nutrition and help me get to my ideal weight. I don't have an ideal weight. I just get on with my life.
Then there are the 'mini' challenges. Your team of 7 has a challenge to walk 100,000 steps in one day. Why?! And the day chosen? A Saturday, when I hardly move. So, either, I run around like a mad thing just to be a corporate bunny, or I do my usual Saturday thing and look like an arse because I'm 'not joining in'. Actually, the Saturday chosen is the day of the Freecycle Market, so I will be busier than usual. But even so...
And the only reason I'm on the team is because the other team in our department poached someone and they asked me to fill in. So, yeah - I'm not even first choice for your team. *grumpy Rosa*
I got Chapter 1 of Mannerley edited on Monday and most of Chapter 2 done yesterday. Hoping to finish that this morning.
Still no word on the job I went for, but I'm guessing no news is bad news - or good news since I don't have to make a decision.
OK, that's all for now. Time to see if Outlook is working yet...
gcc,
mannerley,
teams are not my thing
