So, I devoted 2.5 - 3 hours of yesterday redoing the end of Chapter 3 of FFX-2 - and I'm still at 62% instead of 63%. Either the walkthroughs have made an error in their calculations (all three of them?), there's a glitch in the game, OR I missed some tiny but vital thing earlier on. Well, I'm NOT restarting the whole thing, now. I have always wanted to do a walkthrough where I give the Awesome Sphere to New Yevon, so if I'm not at 100% at the end of the game on this playthrough, I'll just have to do another.
At some distant point in the future.
What's really annoying about the walkthroughs is that they all have stuff in a different order. The one I'm mostly using described the events at the start of Chapter 4 as they happened. The one I was checking for percentages had talking to Paine on the deck at the end AFTER the decision to have the concert - but you have to talk to her first in order to trigger the scene for the concert. So, yeah, it's just got me more confused.
All I can do is plough on and hope that it all comes out right in the end.
Yesterday's 'to do' list got mostly kicked into touch BUT we did get some of the stuff for the Freecycle Market over to church and did some more washing AND I finished 'Holding...', so stuff was still done.
'Holding on to the Memory' was never the greatest thing I've ever written and I have rushed the ending just to get the thing finished. But it is now finished and I can breathe a sigh of relief over that. A couple of people have added
'Where I Belong' to their favourites lists, which is nice. I'm glad people are still reading and enjoying that stuff, even if I've sort of moved on from fanfic. I do want to write one more, though - I currently have 13 fics and whilst I'm not superstitious, it's an uncomfortable number :D
Today's 'to do' list looks like this:
- dust and polish living room and our room
- clean bathroom
- wash our bedding
- vote
- meet G
- sort out savings
- sort out garden cupboard
- play FFX-2 (we're watching commspheres - yay!)
- finish P&P
- get some more freecycle stuff to church
There are quite a few things to do but most of them won't take long or can be rolled up - eg, go out to vote, meet with G, then go into town to sort savings, so that's three things in one outing!
Well, the bedding won't wash itself, so I need to get up and get going!
