I was supposed to be taking the daughter and grandson to see Minions today but Luke isn't well, so I've got a quiet day, instead.
The week started slowly but picked up towards the end. Thursday I met with G to do some coaching on my skill set, which brought out all the softer, people skills that I don't normally think much about. But they support the 'harder', more techy stuff. I was going to write the session up but my Surface decided to play up, yesterday *sigh*
The 'still small voice' whispered the word 'vicar' down my ear, which amused her but not me. But it did get me thinking about what my call really is. I really don't think it's to ordination, or even readership. But it's there. D suggested spending some time in the Catholic Cathedral over the next few weeks to give me some time alone with God. Could work.
I've nearly finished the 'remove Mrs C' version of Mannerley. I'm going to go through again and do a 'more Dr L and Mrs L' version. I think there are too many people whose names begin with 'L'...
Friday, it was suggested that I would be spending the next few weeks pretty much full time on a couple of projects - as a BA. No mention, however, of how that affects my grading. I don't work for the money but I also don't work for free. If they want me to work as a BA, they need to find a way of paying me for it! I'm going to leave it a couple of weeks, though, so that I can build up the evidence that I've done the work at the higher level. And build up a nice bit of back pay.
Next week is Graduation, which is absolutely the best week of the year. Lots of happy people, me showing off my people skills - just a great week.
OK, that's all for now, LJ!
