So, today hasn't been a bad day, really. But it is Monday *pulls face*
Had a meeting with Wayne intended to help him compose a paper on the latest proposal we have for the Academic Calendar. We are suggesting the radical step of having a 'Spring Break' rather than an Easter Break starting in 2011 - and actually, it isn't that radical, since the local schools are all doing the same! Talk about timing. And today we even found a way of making the calendar a whole week shorter without taking away any teaching or assessment time.
Anyway, we chatted about a whole range of stuff (all work related) and didn't write the paper - but that's OK because we had the new option to factor in. Then I went back to the office and played around with the calendar in various guises on Excel. It's the kind of thing my brain enjoys, so who am I to argue? :D
