Yay! I dodged 211 ligtning bolts in a row, and got the Venus Sigil as my just reward. Now Lulu has a fully powered Onion Knight. May I also mention that I did not have any armour equipped with No Encounter, so I had some random battles to get through, as well? *accepts the applause* Thank you, thank you. You're too kind!
The only thing left to do is win a chocobo race, and then get a time of 00.00... It goes without saying that poor old Wakka has no chance in Yevon of getting his Celestial Weapon! I still have monsters from Sin to capture, and I haven't gone near the Omega Dungeon, yet. Oh, and there are the Dark Aeons, too... I've beaten Valefor before, but none of the others. Another trip to gamefaq.com may be necessary.
Just finished watching the 3rd episode of the new series of Dr Who, and enjoyed it much more than the other two. In both of the previous episodes, Martha (the new companion) has managed to restart The Doctor's hearts with her bare hands - which I know from my first aider training to be impossible. And, something about them has been just a little bit off, somehow. But tonight's was right on form! The Face of Boe mentioned that The Doctor was the last of his race, but that he was not alone. What does that mean? Is it something to do with Martha? The head writer, Russell T Davies, promised that this would be a theme running through the whole series. In the first series, the theme was about the wolf, and in the second, it was the separation of The Doctor and Rose. When I was a kid, the stories would stretch over three or four episodes - now each episode is a complete story, but there is a theme to each series that holds the whole thing together.
BTW - I'm not a complete Dr Who geek, honest!
Last night, I finished reading That Hideous Strength by C S Lewis (of Narnia fame, not Alice in Wonderland ), which is the third in his Space Trilogy. I recommend them. The last one draws particularly on the Arthurian legend. The descriptions of Mars and Venus in the first two are beautiful.
Well, time to go. Night, LJ!
