IMPORTANT NEWS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:
1. I graduated from library school and was recently offered a full-time job in an actual library for actual humans! And actual dogs, because come on -- this is Portland. Dogs need books too.
2. The weather here has been disturbingly gorgeous. It is March and rain is not falling from the sky, so that means the end times, they are acoming. Make peace with your gods.
3. The first five seasons of M*A*S*H are on Netflix. If this list were in order of importance, that would have been item one.
4. I've been on tumblr a lot for the last two years? When I checked my LJ friendslist a few minutes ago I kept trying to scroll down to see more posts and was very confused when it wouldn't let me. I thought there was something wrong with my mouse.
5. There was nothing wrong with my mouse. Tumblr has rotted my brain. Yay tumblr!
6. Since I graduated I have slowly been pushing myself back into the writing habit. In the last few months I've been chipping away at long-time WIPs Arcana (Sherlock) and Tomorrow Is a Long Time (Doctor Who), but I've still got a ways to go before I'll be ready to post anything. Relentless perfectionism is a harsh mistress, and it's much easier to watch a thousand episodes of SNL on Hulu instead. (Oh my god I've been so obsessed with SNL lately why. WHY.)
7. I am going to my first con in April! Norweson in Seattle, and boy am I excited. And nervous. I'm on a lot of panels (which I guess I should post about in more detail here? is that a thing people do?) and I'm not really familiar with that situation in a non-professional setting. So if anyone has any tips about sitting on and/or moderating fandom-oriented panels, I would love to hear them. I've been doing a crap load of research, but that can only tell me so much.
8. Also, if anyone still around on my flist is attending Norwescon, let me know! We could be con buddies! And if you aren't going to Norwescon, just tell me what's been going on with you. What's the haps?
How are things, LJ? How are things?
