I don’t think any of you will remember the Scout camp I went on at in April to Newcastle . Well part of the camp was a sponsored hike up Slieve Donnard. Those who do remember this occasion will remember the fact that since that fateful Saturday, my knees have been extremely sore, so much so that sitting cross legged hurts. They crunch and make strange noises when I walk up/down stairs and are very off putting for everyone around me.
Well, the morning before I left for Donegal I went to the doctor and told him the tale of the knees versus Slieve Donnard. He looked at them, asked if I could kneel on the floor and got a skeleton thing to show me what would be wrong if I COULDN’T do that. Doesn’t stop them hurting you know. So I managed to get a referral to the hospital for an x ray and I’m going on Tuesday afternoon.
I know there’s something wrong, anyone who has heard the crunching knows there’s something wrong there, and I’m just hoping that something shows up on the X ray and proves it so that I don’t feel like a total eejit with no explanation as to the noise of my knees.
