Alex and I went to Daytona Beach August 4th-7th. It was a much needed mini-vacation! We stayed at a really nice hotel that was across the street from the beach. It had wood floors, a mini fridge, and a microwave. We hit up a lot of thrift stores and antique mall/flea markets which only fueled my new collecting passion of Pyrex. The money we ended up saving on the room, free miniature golf, and going to non-paying tourist attractions we made for with buying thrifty items! I was extremely sad to come home, back to reality.
My contract for work is up until the 24th of this month, but I still work and accumulate hours. There’s not too much going on right now.
I’m set for my classes for the fall - Elementary Spanish I (PBCC), Drama for the Stage and Screen (FAU), and Stage Management (FAU). Hopefully financial aid will go through without a hitch. Hopefully...
I’ve been on a cleaning kick. Well, it’s more of a purging kick. I’ve gone through all my possessions in my bedroom and two closets (I have one bin of stuff left in the sunroom) and have donated so much stuff to Goodwill! Bags, bags, and more bags. It’s quite invigorating, actually, to be ridding myself of so many things. I don’t need them and there are people out there who can benefit by the clothing, purses, shoes, toys, and knick-knacks.
There’s a lot going on at home, involving both the home and family. I’m not going to get into it here. Life will be getting extremely hard and hectic through September and I’m worried about keeping up with home-life, school-life, and work-life.
Actually, no life at all. Or, perhaps, a new life, new chapter, new everything.
