John Stewart on the RNC

If you don't really watch John Stewart, or if you do but you missed last week's funny stuff, you should watch this episode. Most of it is tongue-in-cheek and pretty funny (I particularly liked the balloon thing, and the interview with the Texan), but the side-by-side comparison of Bush's convention speech in 2000 and McCain's convention speech in 2008 is pretty incredible (near the middle of the episode). I thought some of McCain's positions and slogans sounded familiar, but I had no idea they were practically plagiarized. I was a little wary of the "another 4 years of Bush" rhetoric, but wow... I don't think Obama's going to have any trouble making that case quite solidly in the coming debates.
