Pooter- wtf?
Okay so 2 weeks ago I had the pooter in the PC shop- a faulty capacitor apparently- easily fixed and no problem. This weekend I got my external hard drive out of its box ready to plug in and start transferring data. I turn the computer on....and it's dead again. Back into the PC shop where he plugs it in and...it works..!? Does my aging (8 years old- 2002!) pooter KNOW it's on the verge of being replaced with a shiny Windows7 Dell? I can only hope when I get it back home and plug it in again- that it works for me, so I can bung stuff on the external HD. Ho Hum.
