I think I can safely say that today was a Meh type of day. Not much got done, but not for lack of trying. Started off at about seven this morning in getting the groundwork laid to move the tree that sprung up in the garden out of there, while saving as many of my gladiolas as possible. Planted those in third grade and they are still going strong, so I'm not about to just tear them up now. Then I was told that mother changed her mind on the spot, so I had to refill the hole I had dug in the back yard to receive the plant. So I took a break that wound up lasting a few hours, since my dad insisted he'd help.
Two more holes dug and refilled later, she was happy with the spot, which by that time the noontime sun was directly overhead and everything had heated up towards the low nineties. So much for getting it done during the cool of the morning. In any case, the sapling itself didn't give us too much trouble, but one again I have far more respect for groundskeepers and landscaping crews for the work they do. I'm sore in places that I'm not used to being sore in, even with trying to kick my own ass back into somewhat decent shape all over again.
Grandmother slept most of the day, usually wheezing, which is a plus over the deathrattle cough that I've somehow become used to. Also another symptom of time running out on her. Eh, not much else I can say there.
Most of my afternoon was taken up by a siesta, in part due to how early I was up. Took in two hours of Deadliest Warrior, then otherwise drizzled my night away installing games that refused to work properly (on Vista) or smoothly (back on the Win98). Gave up and grabbed FF Tactics Advance...we'll see how long that holds my attention.
Job hunt renews tomorrow. Targets: Blockbusters, Sears, Applebee's, Outback, and Blooms. The latter for the assistant bookkeeper gig I found in the classifieds. Who knows...anything would be a start.
