Mijnheer Wilders, "Fitna" and the illusion of free speech.

The denial of free speech is seen by Chris Kitchen's interrogation by police as he tried to leave England. Compare and contrast to Geert Wilders provocative visit to the U.K. Wilders will not be welcomed with open arms (save by far right Islamophobes) and his entry (second time lucky) to England will reignite tensions. Do the Dutch fully understand the U.K's lack of free speech? With a large non assimilated Muslim population gathered into urban settings there are similarities between the Dutch and British Umma. As to Wilders I shall propose the line of "contributory negligence". If one walks down the Falls Road in Belfast wearing a Union Jack tee shirt don't expect to get too far. Likewise a Celtic football scarf on the Shankill Road, nobody asks to get seriously assaulted but common sense dictates certain outcomes. If the B.N.P march through Brixton it would cause, shall one say, a robust response. Thus I leave the vexed question of the Wilders visit. Yours until Oldham explodes Mr Brown.
