The war of Mr Joras washing-machine. He lives by the Dragonja river, the Croat-Slovene border. Joras is a Slovene and bought a washing machine, then refused to pay Croat border duty. Croatia claims a sliver of land on the banks of the Dragonja where his house stands. Further along there is the Zumberak mountain dispute (who owns the summit?) and the Sveta Gera problem. As for Piran Bay don't even think of swimming or fishing there as the maritime dispute is ongoing. Perhaps one could ask N.S.K to play a concert and resolve the conflict? Maybe not. When I was on the Portuguese-Spanish border there was an island with a few goats grazing. Each nation claimed it. At high tide it flooded. In a few minutes I shall head off to the English-Scottish border. "I come not to bring peace, but to set brother against brother, father against son." Oh that has been said. Saor Alba. If not now, when? How ineluctable is Scottish independence? Where is my whiskey?
