Now the dust has settled it seems the general election showed us that people are desperate for accountability and transparency in their elected representatives. Amnesty has found that to be the case worldwide. From Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq had disputed elections. But local people challenged environmental vandalism, whether Shell in Nigeria or mining companies in India.
There is torture in over 100 nations, and unfair trails in over 50. The good news is that justice is catching up with human rights abusers, whether Presidents or former Prime-Ministers. Make your voice heard, add it to others.
