1. How did you decide to join the military?
The short story is I was graduating college in 2001 when the economy collapsed and there were no jobs available. I was 32K in debt with just school and it was looking bad. The long story is I had always wanted to join the military and had tried when I was a Senior in HS but my mom wouldn't sign for me. It really was just a desire to do something I had always wanted to do and the need to take care of my family.
2. How important is music to you, and why?
Music is extremely important to me. If you saw Hairspray you know how Tracy Turnblad spent the day listening to the music in her head? Yeah, it is like that with me. I am always singing or listening to music
3. How did you start to write fan fiction, and why do you love doing that?
I started writing it after first reading it. My friend James introduced me to Buffy fic and then when I moved to Japan I got into House fanfic. For me writing was a natural extension of reading it. Since my first story came about because I wanted to fill in the scenes from The Contract fiction writing for me is filling in the scenes I don't see in the show/movie/book etc.
4. Do you have a Huge Goal in your life?
Goal number one is to heal my back and get promoted. I think that is the biggest goal I have right now. Probably second to that is to get my Master's Degree.
5. What do you look for in a friend, and are on line friends different to you than RL friends
I look for a honest person with a good sense of humor and a sense of adventure. I don't know if there is a difference between RL and online friends. I think maybe RL is easier to maintain because you see each other more or you can talk to each other more. I think online there has to be a certain level of trust because frankly all you really know about the other person is what they present to the online community.
