Made it Home

Took off from PAP two hours early. C130 flight direct to Killeen. If you are ever in need of being evacuated and the only bird available is a C130 I recommend staying behind. I've been on one several times and I am reminded each time why people chose to jump out of them.

Flew over the Gulf and saw the Gulf oil slick. It is an impressive sight. One of my fellow units is going to LA to assist with the clean-up. I kind of wish I could go.

Back to flight. We turned to descend into Killeen and we had to bank hard left. I guess there are a lot of redneck insurgents in Central Texas because we turned and dropped about 1500 feet in about five seconds. I about lost my lunch- it was that hard a turn.

Artemis was over the moon to see me. She unlike Natasha does not hold a grudge. Five minutes after I was in the door she was in my lap giving me kisses.

Went out to dinner. Trying not to overdue it. Partly because of the system reaction and partly because I lost 22 pounds in Haiti and would kind of like to continue losing weight now that I am back.

When I am more settled I will tell the story of the guy who tried to wag his butt and got slapped down hard.

I'm glad to be back and now have 28 files to download of House and Bones episodes.
