Verona, Italy: the City of Love for Romeo and Juliet.

01. That is the way Verona positions itself on the tourist's roadmap. Everything in Verona is about those two Shakespeare's lovers -- pretty much the same way like Salzburg deals with Mozart.

02. There is Arena di Verona, which resembles roman Colosseo. All huge city events are held here.

03. Seems like monkey business, but the folks are making some cash. Tourists like them. I don't know why tho.

04.That would be nice to relax listening to some jazz in this medieval ambience.

05. And it is quite a case when the Arena is hosting some sweet events.

06. Bunches of souvenir stalls in the downtown cozy squares.

07. Many gums stuck to the walls of Juliet's house. People tend to put a gum on the wall and then write their names inside a heart to make their love an everlasting one. City administration removes them quite often. Can't imagine what it would be like if they didn't do it.

08. So-called "Juliet's balcony". This is the way they attract tourists. In reality, these buildings have nothing in common with play characters. Moreover in Shakespeare's play there was no balcony - Juliet appeared in the window to meet her Romeo: "Enter Juliet above".

09. Gift shop's business flourishes. By the way, locals put Juliet's name upfront Romeo's -- Giulietta e Romeo.

10. Juliet's bronze statue - it is believed that if you touch it, you will be happy in love. Many people touch her breasts, which is quite logic, I presume.

11. Radiotelephony letters (International Code of Signals) 'R' and 'J' are named after Romeo and Juliet.

12. Many tourists have their wedding ceremonies here.

13. Scaliger Tombs.

14. Dante monument.

Verona is very small and cute. One day is quite enough to see all the sights and, if you are lucky, attend a show in the beautiful Arena. 3 million people a year do it regularly.
