Nervous about my first date, I paced in the shadows, waiting for the ideal moment to make my entrance.
Just before eight o'clock, I moved into the lighted archway and immediately noticed his sweeping glance halt at me in my pale pink robes. I froze.
An unadulterated smile crossed his lips before shifting into a familiar smirk.
Looking incredibly handsome, he strode confidently to me, then whispered something. I could only hear my wildly beating heart.
Flashing that brilliant smile again, Draco held out his arm and escorted me to the Yule Ball.
Someday, I'll ask him what he said.
