If you've been exploring The City (which it seems like some of you have), you've probably noticed something being set up at the fairgrounds right outside the hustle and bustle. Workman have been setting up booths, tents, and stages. Various citizens themselves have been scurrying around, livening up the place with pumpkins, gourds, crepe paper,

That was Orihime's quiet assessment as she stared up at the creaking, rickety spires of the haunted house, beautifully lit up by the occasional stab of lightning.
Her hands were wrapped around a half-eaten and foil-wrapped baked yam, still warm to the touch. Flecks of the yam spotted her cheeks. Clearly she was enjoying this festival immensely if she hadn't even noticed the food on her face.
She didn't really want to go in alone; that much was obvious, considering she'd been standing outside the entrance with her head craned back for the last eight minutes. But she DID want to go in. She'd heard haunted houses were fun, and she wanted to be braver too.
Just...braver with someone else nearby. Nothing wrong with that, right?
(OOC: Yeah, she'll cling to any manly arms offered her way. Or, if it's super cheesy, she'll probably just laugh the whole way through.)

"Oh," he called out in friendly greeting. "Miss Inoue!"

"Flynn-san!" Orihime's face lit up in recognition of the fair-haired knight, her heart skipping a beat the moment she saw that cheerful smile. Abandoning her spot, she pattered up to Flynn. She was clearly happy to see him. "So you came to the fair, too! Are you having fun?"

He couldn't help but laugh at the chipperness of his young friend.
"I am," he chuckled, taking notice of the bits of yam on her face. "I take it you are as well?"

He added a mock bow for effect.

"Thank you very much, Sir Flynn-san!" she curtsied in return, and taking another bite of her yam. She devoured it quickly, crumpling up the foil into a ball and tossing it in the garbage while she devoted her attention to chewing the last few bites all at once. She was pretty sure they didn't allow food in the Haunted Mansion.

It was a little unusual. She'd never really lingered this close to another man before. His side was warm, and his presence was reassuring. The haunted house couldn't possibly be that scary if he was with her.
Never mind the faint touch of pink in her cheeks. It would be too dark to see it before long.

"This is it," he said to his companion. "Are you ready?"

If this was just the beginning, Orihime had a feeling she might be in for a rough night.
"I'm ready," she said anyway, mustering up her courage...and holding a little tighter to Flynn's arm.

And giving her a reassuring smile, he opens the door and leads her in.

To make sure it was absolutely understood that she trusted him implicitly, Orihime stood on her toes, brushing a light peck against his cheek as she allowed him to draw her inside the darkness.

...yeah Flynn has an over-dramatic inner-monologue. But they walk into the haunted house, and so far there's nothing. Like literally nothing. It's completely pitch black, and you'd be hardpressed to see a foot infront of your face. The atmosphere is creepy, but Flynn is of course unphased. He draws Orihime a little closer to him for comfort.
"Well," he said in a calming voice. "So far not-"

She leaned against Flynn's side, steering around it with an uneasy laugh. "Y-yeah, I guess it isn't too bad... Thanks."
It was definitely nice to have him there beside her. Had she been alone, she probably would have decided it wasn't worth it to take one more step forward, and ducked back out the entrance.

He also laughed, though slightly less uneasy. "I think I see a door, over here."
He led her over to the door and turned the handle. As he opened it, THE SCARIEST LOOKING SPRING LOADED SATANIC CLOWN YOU'VE EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE LUNGES FORWARD WITH OUTSTRETCHED ARMS AND A SHRIEKING LAUGHTER SOUNDTRACK ACCOMPANYMENT.
Flynn goes with his first instinct and positions himself between Tim Curry the fake clown and Orihime.
