If you've been exploring The City (which it seems like some of you have), you've probably noticed something being set up at the fairgrounds right outside the hustle and bustle. Workman have been setting up booths, tents, and stages. Various citizens themselves have been scurrying around, livening up the place with pumpkins, gourds, crepe paper,

Fuu's eyes were wide as she looked around the festival. She had already eaten a helping of cotton candy--she couldn't believe how sweet and fluffy it was!--and she had a candy apple in hand, licking at the caramel before she bit into it with a crunch.
"This is awesome! Everything looks so delicious and it's free!" Free food? It was just like heaven! Her mouth watered as she gazed at the large tables of pies and other fall treats, and her eyes lit up as she watched the rides and the games with prizes. Festivals in Japan were different, and this was like nothing she'd seen before!
"Ahhh!" She found a booth with several kanzashi on display, and she held up a pink silk flower and held it up to her hair.
"What do you think? Doesn't it make me look gorgeous?" Fuu grinned.
[ooc; especially a post for taciturn-ronin and ignoble (if Mugen-mun would like to join in!). ♥ However, duplicates are welcome, and canonmates are love!]

She twirled around and giggled like the teenage girl that she was. Meanwhile, Momo-san crept out of her kimono and sat on her shoulder, sniffing around the air.
"Have you ever seen a place like this? All the food's free!"
She bit into her apple, munching on it with relish. "And everything's so good! It's really different, though, but not bad. And since we found the katsudon place, at least we know there's food from home here too." As usual, Fuu liked to prattle on, while Jin and Mugen listened to her (and complained).

"I do, it suits you." He was enjoying himself, despite the strangeness of the situation.

"Mou, Momo-san. You're so spoiled," Fuu said to it with a little sniff, taking another bite of her apple. It was almost gone already, and it was only by virtue of the City's free food that it had lasted that long in her grasp.
Since the kanzashi was free as well, Fuu took it and placed it carefully into her hair, gasping as she felt the petals brush against her each time she moved. "So elegant!" she said with a dreamy sigh, inspecting her reflection through some windows.
"I bet Mugen would just make fun of it," Fuu said later on, making a face.

"He'd probably say something like 'A girl like you has no business trying to look good.'"

"Well, he can't say that now!" she said haughtily, suddenly interrupted from her train of thought as Jin's hand alighted on her neck, making her blush faintly. "What?" she asked, big brown eyes darting to him, eyebrows raising a fraction.

"I love you Fuu." He said quietly as if saying it any louder would cause it all to disappear.

When had he known that he loved her? When did she know? Was it when he almost went away with the other woman that he fell in love with, and while she'd protested, she helped him because she wanted him to be happy? Was it when he left with Sara-san? Was it when he came to her aid after she'd screamed and he thought she drowned in the river? Or somewhere along the way?
Fuu didn't know when it started, but she did know one thing. "I love you too, Jin," she told him, blushing, looking up at him sincerely.

"You're really beautiful." He said quietly, cupping her face in his hand.

"Really?" Her eyes sparkled, and she gave him a smile. "About time you kept telling me that." A grin, and she blushed deeper before kissing him again, her heart skipping a beat.

She tugged on his arm, pulling him in another direction. "What do you wanna try first? You want to go on the Ferris Wheel?" Fuu grinned, pointing up at the ride towering above them.
