How is apartment hunting in Chicago? I'm thinking of applying down there for grad school but don't know much about living situations.

it's really an awesome city, and it shouldn't be too hard finding somewhere to live there.

it seems like it'd be a lot easier to find a more long-term lease for a place, which than just looking for a sublet like i am. also, most people think it's really, really expensive to live there, and in some areas it is (especially right downtown), but there are a lot of affordable places, especially if you live with someone else. it's just frustrating because there are so many things to take into consideration.

yes, this is true. technically i do have the money available, but i want to be able to pay for it myself if at all possible. i still want to wait a little while though.
