this is a blog i occasionally get. it gives news, and i sort of enjoyed today's so i'm sharing it::
Today's sure-fire signs that the country has either lost its collective mind or things are just as they oughtta be:
The governor in South Dakota has removed links to the Planned Parenthood Web site, teenwire®, after much pressure from Catholic leaders. (

Meanwhile, in your nation’s capitol, debate rages on over gay marriage even though everyone has acknowledged that the vote is doomed. Without enough votes to prevail on either the substance or procedure of a vote, backers have admitted that the issue will not make its way out of the Senate this year. This might actually be proof that there is intelligent life in the universe.
Yesterday, the House Judiciary Committee scheduled a hearing on the so-called Child Custody Protection Act - more appropriately called the Teen Endangerment or Abandonment Act - for next week. The bill would make it a federal crime to transport a minor across state lines for an abortion if she hadn't already complied with any existing state law requiring parental involvement. The bill makes no exception for family member - so grandma, Aunt Mae, and older sis, Jill, don't even try to help that teen in need. After all, when it comes to family communication and relationships, the government know best.
