loving my grandpa...

dearest sarah,
a joy to be speeaking!
your mom is a seer...and a saint!
we scott-alexanders have a lot of emotion, a lot of passion...a lot of insights to give...to share, to ask"what do you think?"
we cannot live unless we do!...that's why you, we are great insightful TEACHERS...much of our own private insecurities find expression as well in teaching...it just happened that way...the all important thing is the "feed-back"...how we respond to what is happening...all of us are of CONSEQUENCE!
thanks for your note, thanks for sharing your agenda, your challenges..."good marks" is the RECOGNITION the world demands...;look at a tree bark, it tells it's history differently...
society, sociology, we are all members and participants...i am reading a book by the argentine luis borges, a bizarre parody on human customs...shaw too was good at that, that's one way to make points....
your eyes look out and there you are! you must read the signs, within and without,
society is a live, responsive, easily distracted body of all of us...what is "cultural", life supportive, inter-supportive is not in the interest of the commercial enterprises who endlessly remind us how inadequate we are...of course they are "employers, job providers " as well. personal, well informed CHOICES must be made...cool...be provocative to your students...don't sweat it!
love you, please stay in touch...
love, grandpa
p.s. seeing laci doelle the famous acoustician, he did the concert hall in ottawa and other places, my grandma's youngest sister's son, 94....take care!
