Author note: In response to amnesty prompt #10 (Memory lane) from now on, this and the rest of the missed prompts I try to fill, will be quite short, because I have two hours to get them all and its starting to look slightly impossible.

Whenever Mrs Hudson would bake an apple pie and bring it to us, crust done just right and soft fill warm from the oven, I couldn't help to stifle the smile that came to my face and the sigh that would escape my lips at the first bite.
Everytime I did this, Holmes looked at me with curiosity, but he normally just let things pass.
Which was just as well; there was little behind the reason for my happiness, other than recently made apple pie would always reminded me of my loving and caring grandparents and my grandmother's excellent cooking.
