Happy Anniversary!
Today marks year 17 that knightaudit and I have been married - he's a saint for putting up with me for that long, I tell ya!
We're going to be heading off to the catch the ferry to Ocracoke Island shortly. It's about an hour drive to get from here to the ferry, then a 2-1/4 hour long ferry ride to get to Ocracoke. Phew! It's a good thing that I've got a spare book with me, because I'm going to need it!
Of course, I'll probably also take some photos of the trip across, but you can only take so many photos of water before it becomes redundant, LOL.
I'll let you guys know about the trip later on when we get back.
In other news, we're hit a snafu with my aunt Phyllis due to her schedule, so won't be visiting with her this time around. I don't think she realized that Sunday was Mother's Day until she got the flowers that we sent her, but she really appreciated both the flowers and the thought that we were making a special trip to spend Mother's Day with her. Plans are to reschedule for sometime later this summer - she even stated that she might come to Kentucky, but we'll see if that pans out or not.
Anyway, it means that I might make it home on time to go bowling Monday night. We'll see how it goes.
