Finally!
Have been back in the States for over a month now. My parents are still being very nice...
Spent two weeks in Florida getting some sun, and on the last full day there, finally got a call from the person I've been in contact with since June giving me a proper job offer. Looks like I'll be starting around the first of November. Working for the Army. Ah well, can't win 'em all. On the upside, it sounds like there's a possibility that I'll only be in Kansas for two months, after which I might get moved out to Williamsburg, Virginia, which is, as I recall, a pretty nice town. So YAY! I have a job!
Funny part is, my boss is named Tracy. Up until now, I've only been in email contact with Tracy and so naturally assumed her to be a woman, judging by the name. It was when I first spoke to him that I realized that 'she' was, in fact, a 'he'. How was I supposed to know?! He never signed his name Mr. Tracy! I just hope I never addressed any of my emails to Ms. Tracy....
