Tele-Visions

► So yeah, it turns out that the television Dad picked up yesterday was the right one after all. We went to Sears early this afternoon and found out that the specifications card in the display for the TV was actually for a 42" television, and that they don't have any 32" TVs with 1080p. So it's the right television, and despite only having 720p it's still the best quality one Dad and I saw last week.

After hanging out at the mall for a bit and grabbing lunch (oh how I love you, A&W), I finally hooked up the television in my room and organized my new TV area. Well, somewhat organized it. The table is a bit low so to raise the television up I placed it atop of some old coffee table books about films, Elvis and Mel Brooks that Dad gave me second hand several years ago. Hopefully they're sturdy enough that my expensive new television doesn't topple over and break. Although I suppose I just jinxed myself there...

When we bought the TV last week I had made a note to make Superman the Movie the first thing to watch on the television. Well I forgot about that and ended up grabbing a random DVD from one of my DVD racks, Scooby-Doo Meets Batman. I have to say the television is pretty fantastic. I find most flatscreen TVs I see either look blurry or pixelated, and this one is really sharp. Guess I got a good one after all.SB: heh
SB: you show off your new WIDESCREEN tv with a fullscreen DVD image?
SB: :p

Kinsey Scale Test - I scored "1 - Predominantly heterosexual, only incidentally homosexual." I'm not sure what "incidentally homosexual" actually means.

9gag: Came home from work and crashed the kitten party - I'd prefer to keep Stormy's litter box in the bathroom if there was any room for it.

9gag: Funny and Creative Facebook Timeline Cover Photos - My cover photos are grossly inadequate.

9gag: Found five Bucks on the sidewalk today... - Fairly typical gang in Canada.

Penny Arcade: Perils - I don't always find Penny Arcade funny, but when I do I actually laugh out loud.

Tumblr: Who Is That Hot Ad Girl: Q: Who is the hot girl posing in the Samsung... - "Julia Voth" apparently. I think I'm in love, and that I used too many colons.

Collider: Shia LaBeouf Will Have Unsimulated Sex in Lars von Trier’s NYMPHOMANIAC - Oh, Lars von Trier, you just have to be the most idiosyncratic and controversial director don't you? The man is so positively desperate for infamy. He makes me sad.

Also, abandoning Hollywood movies to film unsimulated sex? I think Shia LeBeouf is a bit confused about what direction movie careers are supposed to go in. If I could, I'd tell him to talk to Sasha Grey, but I doubt that he'd appreciate that.

We Know Memes: Why do all the girls have to buy princesses? - I love this girl. Apparently it comes from this YouTube video. Of course there are people bitching that the girl is being coached by her evil liberal parents to spread Communism and homosexuality. I call those people intolerant assholes. You know, I'd be less worried about the sexuality of a boy who likes playing with princesses then ones who adamantly refuse to touch anything but male characters, but that's just me.

And as I've mentioned before, the colour pink was originally considered masculine and associated with boys and only flipped to being associated with girls in the 1940s.
