Weighing Options
► Last night I heard a bang that sounded like it came from my sister's room next to mine. Turning to my right toward my open bedroom door, Stormy's head popped around the corner, staring at me wide-eyed as if to innocently say "what?" Searching Dean's room, I couldn't find anything amiss, but in the corner I saw her dusty scale, so I picked it up and placed it in the center of the room. At that exact moment Stormy suddenly appeared behind me looking at the scale. I quickly picked him up and stood on the scale, Stormy squirming like a bucket of eels and squealing "EEEeeeeEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeEEEEEeeeee!" Stepping down, I let him go and weighed myself again.
Turns out I read the scale wrong (having a thrashing cat in your face will do that) as it said he was only 6 lbs. I lured him back into the room with a few of his cat treats and picked him up again. It turns out that Stormy is 11 lbs., and my nice long sleeved thermal T-shirt now has some hooked threads.
► At one point while out running around with Dad yesterday, I realized that there were scraped nicks on a few of the knuckles of my right hand. I have no idea how I got them.

► CBR Spinoff Online: Should Warners Give Up On A Justice League Movie? - You want DC Comics to have more success with their movies? Get Warners to admit their dispassionate "we just want the franchise name recognition" movie-making-by-committee set up doesn't work with the DC properties and move them to a separate studio imprint like what DC Entertainment was supposed to be, and have them shepherded and developed by people who know and give a shit about the characters. Cause we've all seen how poorly they've done when the corporate suits have tried to control them. Christopher Nolan's Batman movies worked as well as they did and were successful because there was a single strong hand in control and not a constant panel of conflicting voices trying to shoehorn in whatever seems to be working for other movies at the time all while using them as stepping stones while vying for position in Time-Warner management. Warner's animation division works perfectly in developing the DC properties for TV and direct-to-DVD movies because it's seemingly mostly autonomous from the film studio. So yeah, I'm not expecting much change in the near future.
► CBR Robot 6: George Perez couldn’t ‘wait to get off Superman’ - In short, George Perez wanted out of his high profile relaunch of Superman because there were too many chefs in the kitchen that is DC Comics editorial and corporate. That corporate white noise mentality has been trickling down to the comics. The Superman title has been fairly schizophrenic with the New 52 relaunch, but then so have most of the line. I imagine it's going to get worse before long.
► CBR: DC Announces Superman Crossover "H'el On Earth" - Huh, looks like the New 52 Superman family of titles is being invaded by the corpse of the pre-relaunch Superman. I hope he wins.
