Hot and Bothered
► This morning I realized that I seem to have a slight infection under my right cheekbone, no doubt originating from my broken molar directly under it. There's not much pain unless I poke and prod at it, as if mostly just seems stiff and tender. Although I can feel swelling and a bit of a squishy pocket up in there. I had a similar infection around the same area in February 2011 and that seemed to only last 2 days as I managed to drain the infection myself just by working my jaw and keeping pressure on it with a waded up blanket. I'm probably going to do the same this time.
I do realize that all of this can easily be avoided if I just went to the dentist, but I'm agoraphobic so go figure.

I'm sure this is being pushed online as "haha, look at the idiots scared of a fake zombie" when I think you'd have every reason to worry if you were out for a walk and some fuckhead started grunting, banging things and ran at you in a threatening manner.
Also I'm surprised "fuckhead" is accepted as a word by my spellchecker.
► NY Daily News: Mystery mushroom? No, sex toy: 'It feels really fleshy and meaty,' says Chinese TV reporter - Those aren't lips! From the article:Still, “Xi’an Up Close” producers wanted to save face, and posted an apology online, according to Shanghaiist.com.
“As our reporter was still very young and unwise to the ways of the world, this report has brought great inconvenience to everyone,” the post read. “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for your criticism and correction.
Please forgive our oversight!”
I can only imagine how awkward and uncomfortable a task it was to explain what the object was to the reporter.
► I'd buy a box of Freezies if we had room for them in the freezer. Anyway, I always round off the edges when I cut the edges off of the freezies to avoid this:
