Hotter Than Heck
► My bedroom is 31 degrees today (roughly 88 degrees Fahrenheit). It's warm, to put it mildly. As always, it's not so much the heat as it is the humidity. Ah well, I better get used to it as there's three months of summer left to go.
► I was awaken this morning at around 5:00am and the room was pitch black. Groggy, I could feel a "presence" and I reached out and turned on my lamp to my right. Glance back, on the pillow above my head to my left stood Stormy. He was looking down at me as if caught in the act. After a brief pause he turned to the wall and started swatting at my old framed photo of Rita Hayworth I re-hung over my headboard a couple of weeks ago. This was the closest he's come to sleeping with me since his second day here, May 1st.
Dean and I have been discussing it tonight, and we both agree that Stormy generally has been much more behaved this past week. I can't stress enough that he has never been a bad cat, but he isn't getting into trouble as much now, and seems to listen better. I guess all three of us are learning.

► CBR: "Green Lantern" #0 To Bring Arab Green Lantern to the DCU? - First, does the DCU really need a sixth human/Earth based Green Lantern? Secondly, does the black skinned Arab Green Lantern really need to be an angry gun-wielding man? That seems like a terrible misstep, resorting to stereotypes in the name of cultural diversity.
► CBR Spinoff Online: WB Mulls Green Lantern Relaunch - I'm seriously reboot weary.Whatever direction Warner Bros. takes with the Green Lantern sequel, and the rest of its DC Comics stable, Variety’s sources say executives have learned they need “to tap creatives that genuinely understand the characters the way Joss Whedon was comfortable with The Avengers.”
Seriously? Warner Bros is giving up on their decades long belief that only the franchise name matters, fuck the characters and stories because comic book fans will be so grateful they'll watch anything? **cough**Steel, Batman & Robin, Catwoman, Jonah Hex**cough**
► Men watch porn....10 Reasons Why - I think she's pretty much spot on with her reasoning (though I've never been all that interested in Jenna Jameson, sorry). It's probably too much information, but listening to this gal talk about porn seems to have the same effect on me as, well, you know.
