It's Almost Over, Hopefully

► Woo hoo! My SatyQ sketches arrive in the mail today. For that, I am very pleased.

I'm continuing to feel better with each day. Still not 100% steady while standing or sitting up, but I'm getting there. Now I'm sure I've said this sometime in the past, but I continue to find it interesting how when you're sick it's as if you can't properly remember not being sick, and you can't imagine getting better. So while I'm still a bit anxious and nervous about whether I can get completely past my vertigo before the end of the month, I'm feeling increasingly optimistic about it.

CBR: Leonardo, O'Neil In Favor of Bay's TMNT Reboot - No word yet on what the stuntman who play Foot Clan member number 4 in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze thinks.

Macleans: Star Trek-inspired Tricorder may be a reality by 2015 - Granted I'm not an inventor, nor a doctor (or even a bricklayer, Jim), but wouldn't it cost a lot more than $10 million to actually develop a functional Tricorder?

It's a bit of a stretch, but this reminds me of the old joke that Lex Luthor was a criminal mastermind who would spend millions building giant robots to rob banks for thousands of dollars.

In China, millions make themselves at home in caves - From chat:Derek: (Batman)--"pfft"
Dran: hehe
Dran: I think that guy's cave looks pretty awesome.
Derek: makes me want to have a cave
Derek: easier to defend against marauders!
Dran: (Batman)--"God DAMN it! Living in caves is OVER!"
Derek: lol
Derek: ah, Hipster Batman
Dran: Have you seen the Portlandia This Bar is Over bit?
Derek: I have no idea what that is :-D
Dran: X-D--"OK!"
Derek: (MaceWindu)--"This party's over!"
Portlandia - OVER - From chat:Derek: haha
Derek: that's going in my LiveJournal
Dran: Hooray!
Dran: Just so you know, the show's been around for a bit. :-D
Derek: I had never heard of it
Dran: :-'--"Not super long. I think they're on season 2."
Derek: I guess now that I have it's so over
Dran: I wouldn't have either if Joanna hadn't pointed it out to me
Dran: haha

Quote of the Moment

James J. Corbett aka Gentleman Jim: I've seen you around San Francisco a few times but from a long distance, of course.
John L. Sullivan: Well, seein' me from a long distance is a smart idea, young fella.
