Airing Out
► I called my grandmother, Mum, earlier to see how she was feeling. My aunt had stressed how tired she was after getting released from the hospital on Monday, that I thought I should wait an extra day. She seemed a lot better than I expected (not quite as depressed as she's been the last couple of times I've called her). I hope she gets better.
► The whether was sunny and mild today, with a really strong cool breeze. I lowered the thermostat for the fireplace and opened the door to our deck and the windows in both bedrooms. The cross breeze was really strong and I figured it'd help air out the apartment to get ride of the stale air. It has been a few months since they were last open.
► I've been wondering more and more if I might have some sort of infection, either in my inner ear, broken tooth (a second molar broke in January), my sinuses, or throat. When I woke up this morning I had a sick feeling, pain in my jaw and tooth, a swollen gland, and generally felt like I'd been punched around the head and face.
Then I had a several minute long sneezing fit around noon and feel a lot better now. Go figure.

► John Carter (seriously, would it of killed them to call it John Carter of Mars? "John Carter" sounds so generic) opens this week. Here's what I wrote on Facebook 2 weeks ago when I saw this incredible fan edited trailer:"The official John Carter (of Mars) trailer left me cold and unimpressed when I saw it last year. This fan edited trailer has actually made me excited about the movie for the first time. It LOOKS like John Carter of Mars and Barsoom now! And it looks like a rollicking good epic."
► Pregnant Jessica Simpson Gets Nude for Elle, Reveals Baby’s Sex - Dammit Jessica, move your arm!
► Evan Goldberg Talks Hockey Pic 'Goon' & Reveals He's Writing A Horror Movie With Seth Rogen - I didn't know about Goon until I saw some ads online last week. As a Canadian, I'm just glad there is a Canadian movie out that isn't either an insular French-language Quebec centric film, or some incredibly pretentious and overly melodramatic and eccentric-to-a-fault Atom Egoyan rip off. A lot gets said in Canada about Canadians not supporting Canadian films, but maybe we would if they made movies people would actually want to see.
What's wrong with making some entertaining Canadian films?
► Arnold Schwarzenegger to make action movie with 'Act of Valor' directors - He may be long in the tooth, flabby, and more than a decade past his prime, but dammit I want to see some new Arnie movies!
► 9gag: Happiest Animals In The World - Because it's time for a cuteness break.
► 'The Phantom Menace' Ruined Jake Lloyd's Childhood & Topher Grace Edited All 3 'Star Wars' Prequels Into An 85-Minute Movie For Some Reason - I was all set to jokingly say "well Jake Lloyd's acting ruined The Phantom Menace!" but then they had to get all serious about bulling. Dammit.
► Topher Grace Edited The ‘Star Wars’ Prequels Into One 85-Minute Movie and We Saw It - I'm not raging on the movies, but I would very much like to see this if just out of curiosity.
► Massive spiderwebs engulf Australian town as arachnids escape floods - Excuse me while I scream in terror.
