Revisiting Ireland
► I started this journal entry and later realized I had nothing to say, so I'm posting some pictures of Kathy Ireland. After I got my first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit calendar for Christmas 1991, Kathy was one of the defining pin up models during my formative early adolescence. I loved her smile, amazing hips and butt, and her bushy caterpillar eyebrows.
► The Black Swan Battle Heats Up Even More! - I fail to see the point in all of this. Didn't Natalie Portman win the Oscar for her acting in the movie, and not the dancing? What's next? Stunt doubles bitching about not getting acclaim in their roles? Editors complaining about Best Director awards not recognizing their contributions? This all seems very pointless.
► Branagh On Idris Elba's Thor Casting: The controversy was 'daft' - Similar to the above link, I can't believe this is still an issue. So they have a black actor playing a small part as one of the Norse gods. Marvel's take on the Norse pantheon is hardly mythologically accurate to begin with. It's not like they cast Thor with a black actor, it's Heimdall, a relatively minor character in the comics. Can't people move on past this?
► Oldest NFL cheerleader Laura Vikmanis' story getting the Hollywood treatment - It's sure to be a heart warming crowd pleaser.
► Captain America FUCK YEAH - Not surprisingly, someone has set the new Captain America: The First Avenger trailer to music from Team America: World Police. And all is good.
