► Well the doctor appointment was fine. I had cold shakes and anxiety all the while I was there, but no full panic attack, so that's good. We got there 10 minutes early and I only waited 20 minutes before being brought into an exam room for another 15 minute wait. Much better than how it used to be, when, because of overbooking, it was normal to wait 2 to 3 hours.
Next week I have to go to the medical center for blood work and to get chest x-rays (or a chest EKG, I'm not sure). The chest x-rays are to find out what's actually wrong with my busted ribs. The doctor also pointed out that my chest/ribcage is crooked.
I was also given a prescription to take 1000 IU
vitamin D and 1250 mg of
calcium carbonate daily. That's two and a half of these big hard non-chewable calcium tablets. Because I'm unable to swallow pills whole, I have to chew them, which wasn't easy. They also leave an unpleasant aftertaste.
