Greetings From My Sister's Laptop
► Last week it felt like I dodged a bullet when after almost 2 weeks at the shop they were able to save all the data on my old faulty hard drive. One week with my computer back and Tuesday night it wouldn't boot up, trapped in a reboot loop. Yesterday we brought it back to the shop. Dodged the bullet only to walk in front of another.
Worrying about the computer, again, is really grating my nerves.
► The gas meter change on Tuesday went fine. Took the 2 guys about an hour to change our meter and then re-light our water heater and fireplace. It was a bit awkward when they got here though, because the lady in the apartment across from us met them before I could and was talking to them about her concerns over the letter she got (apparently I was the only one in the building who bothered to call the gas company to set up an appointment) and her fireplace being broken. I never actually got to talk to the head gas guy until the very end when they came to re-light our fireplace (after checking the neighbour's for 10 minutes). Anyway, at least that worry is over.
