► Last night I convinced myself I made a horrible mistake picking the bike I did yesterday. The one we bought was the only one I actually tried, and I kept thinking I should have bought a mountain bike. Picking up the bike today, and riding it in a circle in the parking lot in front of our building has convinced me I made a good choice. I like my new bike!
I would have rode it around a little longer but Ms Grumpypants in apartment 2 came out to check her car (for no reason I could see except that Dad and I were out there). She doesn't strike me as very friendly as 2 weeks ago I went to get the mail and she happened to be there in her house coat. She didn't respond when I said a cheerful hello and had this really sour look. Ah well. The new young gal who just moved in with her (I assume) boyfriend in apartment 1 was also watching me on my bike from her door.
I guess it's a good thing I didn't shout "WHEEEEEEEEE!"
► Carrying my bike up to my apartment was a fair bit of a pain. I only just narrowly avoided smacking my face with the handlebars a couple of times. The knowledge of having to do that every time I want to use the bike is a bit daunting.
► I understand the need to put both English and French on DVD packaging, especially when the movie title is different in the 2 languages. What I find ridiculous is when the movie's title is the same in English and French. Case in point, the
Chocolat DVD I bought yesterday which has the title twice on the spine of the case. The movie title is already French!

Matt: he looks just like all the other guys in that movie
Matt: oh, and I'm sure it's been said, but I'm gonna say it again. Twilight = Necrophilia

CBS announces fall 2010 schedule - Rather sad that of the 5 new upcoming CBS dramas, 4 are cop shows and one is about lawyers. The old cliche that TV is just doctors, lawyers, cops and vampires continues.
