World Of WorryCraft
► A couple of nights ago, long time net friend Diana popped online. She's a devoted World of Warcraft player and has been after me to play the game for the last few years, aggressively. This time she started telling me that she was going to buy me a $20 digital 30 day trial membership. I actually repeatedly pleaded with her not to, because I knew I'd feel guilty about it, and because I'm not sure if my computer would run it properly. The final problem is that because I have no credit card I would not be able to play the game beyond the limit, so it'd be rather pointless.
After an hour or more of back and forth she said it was too late, as she bought it. I got the account set-up email, but still haven't started the process. I keep hemming and hawing about it, and have actually been considering sending an email to the WoW company asking them to cancel the account purchase and reimburse Diana the money, or credit it to her. The problem with that is I don't want to seem ungrateful and rude. And so, I still don't know what to do.
Jerry, Di's husband, told me that you can buy time cards from Walmart and other shops and use those to play the game instead of credit cards. I thought I could try that, if I can find them locally. Until then, I'm still dragging my feet.
I don't even know what kind of character to create. Although, I figured I'd likely end up making a female character.* My thinking is that if I'm going to spend countless hours staring at someone, I'd rather it be an attractive woman. Not entirely sure what that says about me, and my possible shallowness.
* I know, I'll likely get hit on by idiot guys all the time. That was the case back when I played Runescape using a female character and the name RogueDerek.
► The WoW stuff above is complicated by Jerry (aka SatyQ) and I having that plot help/sketch exchange deal going on. Although we haven't discussed it in a few months. Last we spoke of it I was due 3 sketches, with 1 or 2 additional ones on the horizon. Not sure where we stand currently with it.
► I don't know what the hell was wrong with that foot long whole wheat cold cut sub I had yesterday afternoon, but I've had bad gas, bloating and cramps all night long. Guh... stomach... baaaad. Probably just too much sodium.
► Seems there was a delightful amount of Award cleavage this past weekend. Namely Christina Hendricks at the 62nd Annual Directors Guild Awards on Saturday and Katy Perry at the EMI Grammy party following the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
