► Wild weekend, man! Spent several hours yesterday and a few earlier this afternoon washing a bunch of my action figures, bottles, and glass knick knacks with soapy water. After a year and a half in the apartment I felt it was time to organize the junk pile that was my tradepaperback bookcase and get the dust and grim off of the figures and things piled on it.
I now have the bookcase all spiffy with a gaggle of superhero toys arranged nicely on it. Put a few on my new stacked bookshelves too. Although I'm trying to keep those mostly free for future stuff.
Should have seen the dust caked on my
Pitt build-a-figure. It was like felt.
► Slept 8 and a half hours last night without having to take any ibuprofen tablets before, and without waking up in horrible pain. Hopefully I'll have more nights like this. I needs 'em.
► I really should get a
new mouse pad at the end of the month. I've been putting it off for months since the gel wrist guard first tore. It's now a mess of electrical tape, and the splitting keeps worsening. Icky sticky silicon sticking to my wrist.
Maybe I can get a purple pad (this old beaten one is red). Oh, or maybe I should get one of those
boob mouse pads.
► A couple of weeks ago I noticed something odd about my MS Paint. I use
MS Paint to make
my superheroinemicro heroes (I then copy and paste them to Photoshop to save them as PNG files) and have for several years now. When I resumed using the program earlier this month, I noticed that something was wrong with the text option. It seems that instead of being crisp and black, the text now comes out as a blurry blue. All the settings in the program are the same, but the text is now screwy. A friend of mine who also uses the program to make micros said he noticed that the text had changed for him too. Wondering if some WinXP update mucked it up.
Just weird how it changed. It's minor, but I notice it and it annoys me, the blurriness.
►
April's Le Tout Burlesque - I totally want to get this comic book, as I've enjoyed Chris J. Cole's "April Fewells" sketches and pin ups posted in
his DeviantART gallery. It's a weird mix of
The Muppet Show,
The Carol Burnett Show, and
Adam Hughes. Now if I only had a credit card...
