A Man Called Horse
► Actually got hotter and more humid today. There were storms and rain all morning (I guess, since I slept through them) but it didn't relieve anything. The heat isn't too bad, but it's really muggy. Just icky weather.
Talked with Dad early tonight to confirm that we're hanging out tomorrow. He asked me if I wanted to go with him to Ottawa on Friday to pick up my younger sister and the kids. I'd love to go, and maybe check out one of the comic shops up there for goodies, but I just don't think I'm strong enough to last the ride without having a major panic attack. Frankly I'm scared to go.
Beyond that, Dad said that we're all invited to his place Friday night for dinner. Apparently he's going to pick up KFC. Haven't had that in almost 2 years, so it'll be a nice change of pace.
► Collected and took the garbage out to the curb 20-some minutes ago and saw that there was mail in our mail slot. Got a manila envelope from my Aunt with cards and checks from her and my grandmother. I'll wait until next week to go to the bank since one of the checks is post dated for the weekend.
I should call them both tomorrow and thank them.
► Everybody back on board for 'Hancock 2'? Not according to Jason Bateman - I'm more interested in the bit about the filming of the movie version of Bateman's TV show Arrested Development. Interested, not because I've ever seen the show (I haven't), but because it surprises me that they'd expect a cult TV show that people didn't watch for free to bring in a paying audience. Maybe it'll be successful, but this kind of thing has failed before.
► Finally, I can pronounce Aishwarya Rai's name. Well... it's gonna take some practice. What with my accursed tongue.
► Want 'The Ultimate Cut' of Watchmen? - As long expected, it's finally been announced. I'll be in no rush to get it. Also, I'm amused by this excerpt from the article:It should also be noted that back in July, Zack Snyder stressed the Director's Cut was his preferred cut, and seemed to dismiss the Ultimate Edition as an excessive re-release.
If Zack Snyder thinks something "excessive" that should make you think twice.
