Vehicular trials and tribulations

Well, you guessed it... the car is in the shop. Again.

Actually this is really a continuation of the same problem. After a bit of issues on the way to Faire a week ago, she fairly well behaved the rest of the week (thankfully economically speaking). Then on friday, while on the highway on the way to the visitation for imbri6's father, the car " ( Read more... )

How old is your son? Please stop up in the Lab (run by Looney Labs) and hang out, play some games and all sorts of fun.

Just follow imbri6 and you'll find it.

He's 15, now and I suspect will easily pass me up in height soon.

We'll definitely be stopping by the lab! I need to introduce him to the looneyness! We're already signed up for at least one session of "Andy vs Everybody". :-)

Woo-hoo! Be sure to pick your game carefully.

  • if you want to play him in something he really likes, in Binary Homeworlds. Multiplayer Homeworlds may be ok - but he really likes B.H.
  • Martian Chess is another really easy-to-drop-into game for him.
  • Fluxx - especially Zombie Fluxx (to be playtested at Origins - yay!!) is another good, multiplayer, easy-to-drop in on game.
  • Chrononauts works OK - and he'll usually only play to win on his conditions, not try to figure out what others are doing and mess them up.
  • Both Treehouse and Martian Coasters are a good option
  • if you really want a cool challenge - learn the "super secret new game" being premiered at Origins - currently only known as Secret Project 3H-1. It's a very quick game to learn, and a blast to play - and he'd be thrilled, I think, to have a good game of that going on at any of his A.v.E's.
Whatever the game, just be ready to sum up his turn options each time he comes over. If you've never played in an A.v.E, it's a hoot. Everyone takes their turn, and when it's time for Andy ( ... )

*chuckles* Methinks she might have forgotten meeting me at ChiTAG last year! ;-)

Aye, I played in the AvE last year and had a great time. It will be interesting for me to see what my son picks to play.

After 4 years of ownership and 121,000+ miles, I don't think that "lemon" would apply. No, there is obviously a specific thing wrong with the car and my issue is with the service department not seeming to figure out what that thing is.

My feeling at this point is "just fix the bloody thing already!"
