It is time someone said the simple truths about the past four/five years.

2007/8:  a year  when there was hope. Lots of it. Sure, there were rumblings. But almost no one had sensed the earthquake that was building. And many of those who did pretended not to, because they were making scads of lovely lolly. And some had dreams.
