I have watched... Merlin, which was not nearly as exciting as last week's, and SPN where for the first time since I started watching the show I just skipped through to the parts that looked interesting and ended up watching them in about five minutes.
I have installed Office 2010 which is annoying because a) I am resistant to change, and b) I have no Hebrew language pack, which means no spellcheck in Hebrew.
I have read the news today and oh, boy, sometimes I want to just say fuck it and go cry somewhere, ugh. There was an article about this new short webseries about a Jewish and Arab kid switching places that's designed be a teaching aid for high schools Civics classes; it would have been cool, were it not followed by a list of really fucking depressing statistics about how racist kids are these days and how much they don't even get the need for democracy and why does everyone have to have the same rights anyway and who the hell wants to be in a classroom with an Arab student anyway.
God, I need some chocolate.
PSA for New Yorkers: Dear New Yorkers,
Ivri Lider is playing a few shows in NYC next week,
two at CMJ Festival (Oct 20th and 22nd) and
two more on the 20th and 23rd, it looks; dates and locations are up on
his website (note: most of his songs don't sound like the first one that autoplays on the site).
I really don't know how to properly pimp the guy, so here's some music:
Bo (Let's),
The Man I Love (cover),
HaAnashim HaChadashim (The New People),
Adoni (Sir) (him covering a song that he himself wrote for Roni Superstar, whose version was
this,
Aluf Haolam (World Champion) (the slashy boxing one),
Hakos Hakchula (The Blue Glass),
Beyom Shemesh Yafe (On a Nice Sunny Day),
Nissim,
Yoter Tov Klum (Nothing is Better Than Almost) acoustic,
Ze Lo Oto Davar (It's Not the Same),
Jesse (his first English single)
American Idol people, he kind of
looks like Brad Bell. I've been to his shows and they're energetic and amazing, and that might be because I and the people around me mostly know all of the songs, but it might be something else. I can't vouch for how much you'll enjoy it, but I recommend. Last time I promised myself I'd let y'all know when he was playing shows in the US, so. Now I am.
