Vacation is almost over :-(

Let's see how any of my holiday plans I actually managed to get done:

1. "Go somewhere. North, south, center, I don't care (okay I kind of want north), as long as I can climb a mountain or wade through a river and breath fresh air and picnic and photograph." Partially done! I may not have gone anywhere far for longer than a day, but I did go up to the Gilboa, and I... walked around town a little bit.

2. "Watch a play." FAIL. However, I did order tickets for next week, which is what they had, and for a show I want to see in June.

3. "Read a book." FAIL.

4. "Write a fic." Score! Discworld/Passover, plus I am actually writing from the Kings prompts you gave me (shocking, I know).

5. "Clean my room. Also, sigh, clean my room in Tel Aviv." Yeah, fail. Still have a few days for that, though.

6. "Write 5-10 pages of my seminar paper (I'm a realist, I don't actually expect more.)" FAIL.

7. "Catch up on all the school reading I haven't gotten around to this semester. Okay, 60% would be enough." FAIL MCFAILSON. I still have a couple days for that too, though. Um.

8. "Wear a skirt." I wore a skirt and a dress! This is kind of huge.

9. "Keep Passover kosher yeah, whatever, if I'll feel like it." I totally kept Passover kosher for the first four days, until a rogue box of Cheerios attacked me. After that came the super fancy restaurant in Jerusalem with the fresh baked olive bread, and I am weak, okay?

10. "Play around with my brand new beta Dreamwidth account \o/ It is currently empty and ugly because I opened it at exhausted AM, but I will make it worthy yet." Check! I managed to follow directions well enough to customize it to look like my LJ, and now I'm just crossposting.

I did manage to do some other stuff that weren't on the plan. I:

-Saw a movie (Last Chance Harvey, aw).

-Went to Bodyworlds -- the original exhibition is temporarily in Haifa for three months, and it was really interesting (though crowded).

-Went to the Tower of David in Jerusalem and saw the Night Spectacular light show again -- it was just as pretty as it was the first time, and even the friends I'd dragged from Haifa said the forty minutes were worth it. (The Old City, I will add, was packed with religious people like I've never seen it before; clearly this is what happens when you come to the city on one of the three regalim.)

-Went to the port in Tel Aviv and had a fangirl brunch with sabrina_il and another friend right across from the ocean.

-Went to a bubizemer which is a... well, weird and awesome communal singing phenomenon thing, anyway. I thought about taking sabrina_il there, but have decided that it can only result in two hours of mocking, so no. Afterwards, though, I met her and her little posse of army friends and we had egg pancakes at a pseudo-IHOP place at 1AM, which is always cool. Pancakes are best when eaten between 1AM and 9AM. Fact.

-Officially caught up on: House, HIMYM, Lost, 30 Rock, The Office, Brothers & Sisters, SPN. Still need to catch up on: NCIS, Grey's.

Aaaand.... that might be it. Back to the drawing board, now.
